HP launches the Spectre 13 and HP Spectre x360 13 touch laptops

HP introduces the new HP Spectre 13 and HP Spectre x360 13 laptops. The new products focus on the premium consumer segment and offer better performance, longer battery life, crisp image and modern design.

HP Specter 13

The second generation Specter 13, which HP is the thinnest laptop with a touchscreen ever, features a 4K display, thin screen edges and enhanced sound. The laptop features an 8th generation Intel Core quad-core processors. HP claims that the Spectre x360 laptop of all quad-core convertibles has the longest battery life. In addition, security has been enhanced, including the new option for an integrated privacy screen.

The key specifications are:

  • A housing made of CNC-machined aluminum and carbon fiber. Available in Ceramic White with Pale Gold accents, or Dark Ash Silver with polished Copper accents, and narrow screen edges and Corning Gorilla Glass NBT screens with resolution up to 4K.
  • The speakers are located at the top of the full-size keyboard running across the full width of the laptop and equipped with key lighting.
  • 8th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, available with a PCIe SSD with up to 1TB of storage and 16GB LPDDR3 internal memory.
  • Up to 11.5 hours of battery life. Thanks to HP Fast Charge technology, the battery can be charged from 0% to 50% in 30 minutes.

HP Spectre x360

The HP Spectre x360 easily switches between laptop and tablet, delivers quad-core performance, has a battery life of up to 16.5 hours and can be equipped with a new integrated privacy screen. Specific features include:

  • The CNC fabricated aluminum shelf with tight contours is available in Natural Silver, Dark Ash Silver with Copper Accents and a Pale Rose Gold Limited Edition.
  • Features a Corning Gorilla Glass NBT 13-inch display with resolution up to 2K and narrow edges.
  • Optimized thermal properties, 8th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, memory up to 16GB LPDDR3 and option to 1TB PCIe SSD9.
  • Safety features such as a side-side fingerprint scanner, optional HP Sure View integrated privacy screen on Full HD7 version (Natural Silver only) and HP Wide Vision FHD IR camera to sign in with Face Detection.
  • The Windows Ink Certified Pen provides a more natural drawing and writing experience for pen and touch at the same time. The pen is pressure sensitive, featuring an integrated USB-C rechargeable battery. 15 seconds charging gives the user sufficient power for 198 minutes of use.
