VodafoneZiggo signed the contract GT Fixed Communications with the Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG). As of 2018, about 200 municipalities will use fixed data, fixed voice and internet services under the new contract. The contract runs for a period of 5 to a maximum of 11 years.
John van Vianen, Director Business Market at VodafoneZiggo: “We are very proud that we are the chosen party to deliver these services, thereby helping Dutch municipalities to become a next generation network. With this agreement we immediately show the strategic value of the joint venture, as the forces of both Vodafone and Ziggo really come together. ”
For the new company, this is not the first major tender this year. For example, Vodafone and Ziggo have won several assignments including the call for the provision of mobile communications services (IWR2017 Mobile Communications Services) and the IWR2017 Inbound Invitation to tender from the Government’s IWR2017 Program.
