Bloomberg: HPE says goodbye to 5,000 employees

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is planning to say goodbye to 5,000 employees, which is ten percent of total staff, Bloomberg reports  . It is expected that the surgery will start this year and affect employees worldwide, including managers.

The reductions, either fired, would take place worldwide and continue this year. The announcement comes shortly after HPE CFO Tim Stonesifer HPE announced the next three years to save $ 1.5 billion.

HPE Meg Whitman has been optimizing the company since its split in 2015, keeping it in top condition by cutting out more layers. HPE wants to be a strong infrastructure player and stay in a market where it has to do with competitors like Dell EMC, Cisco and cloud providers like Amazon Web Services and Google.
